4th of July
This was taken in D.C. on the night of the 4th of July. There were lots of people in the streets setting off their own fireworks and this picture captures the smoke in the air.

 Clouds
Taken in Rehoboth Beach, DE when the sun was setting.

 Sunrise
Taken on the beach in Rehoboth Beach, DE during the sunrise.

 Sunrise 2
The entry of the beach framed the sunrise perfectly.

The Beach
This was taken at the Building Museum in D.C. at The Beach exhibit.

 Disappear
The Beach exhibit was a large ball pit full of clearish recycled plastic balls, which allowed you to just sink in and disappear.

 Perfection
At The Beach exhibit, the walls and floor were all white and the balls were a whiteish clear, which gave the exhibit a perfect sleek look.

 Bubbles
When thrown in the air, the balls at The Beach exhibit looked like bubbles that you blow.

 Eyes
Playing around at The Beach exhibit.

 Moonrise
The super moon while driving into Rehoboth Beach, DE.

 In-between
The in-between stage of night and day.

Moonrise 2
The moon rising over the water at Rehoboth Beach, DE with slight silhouettes of two people walking.

JOURNAL ENTRY #1

What have you improved upon since taking photography last year?

I would say I have improved on working with shutter speeds. To capture the sunrise photos and the moonrise photos I had to adjust the shutter speed multiple times in order to get a good shot.

What do you enjoy taking pictures of?

I really enjoy taking landscape photos and portraits.

What are the qualities of a good photo?

The qualities of a good photo are that it is sharp (in focus),  has a clear subject, and that it is interesting.

What are you interested in learning this year?

I am very interested in learning more about photoshop, since we worked so briefly with it at the end of Photo 1.
